Daphne spent the first two days hidden under the bed, and would only come out at night when all the lights were off.
Spooker, who had moved several times with Not The Mama previously, was out and snooping around the new digs from the moment she was sprung from the PTU (that's
The furniture has been mostly-arranged now, and the stack of boxes has been sorted by room, now we just have to unpack all those boxes!
Finally, Daphne came out and went exploring. Last night, while Not The Mama unpacked books and DVDs, she sat in the comfy chair (you can see a bit of it in the picture) like a queen on her throne and watched CSI.
There will be more pictures coming, but for now you can click on this one to biggify and try to spot Daphne on the windowsill, scoping out the new view.
Yay for Daphne's courage! It's tough to move, even for humans. Good for you, Daphne.
ReplyDeletenice sight!! Chloe, you are pretty lucky. I want this apartment. ;-)

Ps.- Cheers to Not The Mama and cia.
You'll be ok, Daphne. Just give it time!
ReplyDeleteWe like your new place...it's so spacious & bright. Having lots of windows is good and I see yours have nice, wide sills that are perfect for resting.

Moving .. ARRGHH! The last time we moved, my human sent out new address announcements that said the following. You might want to print some up for NTM:
ReplyDeleteFront:
I'M NEVER GOING TO MOVE AGAIN. EVER.
Inside:
I SWEAR.

My last street address, ever______________

ReplyDeleteI got locked in the house for two weeks after my human bought a new home. Not fun at all! I couldn't hunt and gather...what were they thinking?! I'm glad those days are waaaay behind me.
ReplyDeleteJack has never moved but knows he could be brave cause he is a pirate. Dante has moved (homeless and all) and snickers at Jack's bravo!
ReplyDeleteGood job being so brave Daphne!!
The topcatrules gang has never moved. We really like your new place though. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad everyone is adjusting! That window looks like it would have lots of fun stuff to look at.
ReplyDeletethat is a nice looking apartment Mo, best wishes, sarge
ReplyDeleteDaphne, it would only be bad if Not the Mama didn't move you with him. Obviously that's not happening though. Enjoy the new place :)

Love those windows. That place looks so neat.
ReplyDeleteGlad all the kitties are out and coping, think they are really going to love it once you are all settled in. Just so you're with them, that's what really counts. Well, the big windows with ledges and a few temptations won't hurt, either.

it's ok Daphne, you'll get used to it fast!
ReplyDeleteTemptations are a great way to help with moving!!!!
ReplyDeleteMom, I want to move,heehee

Cute! I like that table. And we really have to get Not The Mama into more TV shows than just CSI!
ReplyDeleteIt seems moving is stressful. Very stressful. We are glad we don't have to, hahahahahaha! At least not right now....
ReplyDeleteWe are happy you seem to be settling in!
Don't miss to come by and check out Antarctica - we saw penguins today!!! And tomorrow we will have a surprise visitor and Thursday a BIG party!!!
Hi Spooker, I tagged you for a meme. Purrs mickey
ReplyDeleteNone of us has ever moved, well, not since we'z been wif mom and dad but Speedy has lived in two places...ya know, as long as yoor favorite bean is there it will be home.
ReplyDeleteReally nice looking apartment, Mo! Best of Luck!
ReplyDeleteLots of windows to nap in! Makes me wish they made window sills my size.
ReplyDeleteThat table is very pretty. I hope everybody adjusts well to the new place.
Everything and every kitty will fall into place right where they belong. :) Each kitty will find a favorite napping place and NTM will find a spot for all his pretty things.
ReplyDeleteLove and Purrs,
Lorianna
Moving is scary. We had to do in a couple of years ago. You had better sniff every corner of every room to make sure everything is ok.

I love your lamps, Mo. What a lovely place you have!
ReplyDeleteIt has "home" written all over it! I can just see a big lush plant on the corner cabinet! Of course, it may need to be silk with all the kitties digging the dirt!
ReplyDeleteAre the windows screened or will you have to do that?
It's really nice, Mo!
~~~Kitty Blessings!~~~
