Closing the store and getting rid of 4 years of stuff in the basement has kept me busy!
Just a quick update: the woman who was going to adopt Jazper never showed up. To his benefit, the first few evenings with him in the apartment were less-stressful than I'd feared. Last night he was a very Good Boy, but he is still locked up in the bathroom at night. While I'm painting the store, he is still coming down with me.
Bella and Jack probably aren't going any where. The little rascals have weaseled their way into my heart. So, for now, Eight Is Enough.
And everyone (except Spooker, but you can't expect miracles) loves Eyad. Especially Daphne, who was missing her daddy something terrible the past two years, since he left us. She and Eyad have bonded and it's great to see how affectionate she is with him.
Here's a pic by Eyad for you to enjoy, until I can post again. If you'd like to see more of his photography, check out his RedBubble Gallery.
Cheers,
NTM
I stopped by to see what was going and and thanks for the update. I am sorry that Jazper's forever folks didn't show up, that certainly isn't nice of them. But it is probably because they were not right for him. I love the photo of Eyad, such a beautiful kitty. You have been busy and sounds like you have still a lot to do.
ReplyDeleteLove your wall paper, wherever did you find it? I would like something like that in, of course, pink. Hope to get to know you better.
Awwww! You have such a great heart. Isn't fostering so difficult because you become so attached and it is so hard to part especially after they've been with you a while. There are seven of us kitties and a foster who may as well just stay furever. Our mom and dad are what you might call failed foster parents. I agree with Gracie, Jazper's folks weren't the right people and there was a good reason they didn't show up. It was fate.
ReplyDeletePurrs to all of you!

I'm exhausted just reading about how busy you've been!
ReplyDeleteThat's good that Jazper was a Good Boy. Georgia had to have her own room at night for 6 months...and was locked up when we weren't home for almost a year. We had to teach her not to attack the others. Now she never needs to be anymore...so maybe there's hope. Just might take a while.
ReplyDeleteMy how Pete has grown!!!!! I did a double take there...
ReplyDeleteThere's hope... Have faith!
We are so glad that everyone is doing so well! YEAH!!! Good for you all.
ReplyDeleteEight???? Yikes!
ReplyDeleteBut those babies couldn't have a better home. As good maybe, but not better.
Good report about Jaz too. I hope all continues to go well.
Whoa, is dat our little "stinky Pete"? He's become a furry handsome mancat!
ReplyDeleteWe missed you jack I enjoyed all your posts thanks for sharing that I am very excited for your next post..

Glad to hear that the Jazper seems to be doing okay with everyone else (although it's not nice that the lady never showed, it's probably for the best)!
ReplyDeleteAnd we're glad to hear that Bella and Jack get to stay!
Have a great weekend,
