We've been taking care of NTM since our iDaddy had to leave. After he left to go away to school, we have been making sure one of us is with NTM at all times when he's home.
NTM had to leave us for a few days when his Gram passed away - that was the grandmother he went to Egypt with - but he made sure a good neighbor took care of us in his absence.
Then, two days after he returned from the funeral in Indiana, his father died. He wasn't sure about sharing this news with anyone except for us kitties and iDaddy, because he didn't want condolences. He is more sad about the loss of a relationship that never was, rather than the passing of a man he didn't know. But we felt that he needed to share a little bit, so he could move on.
Now, it's time for some cuddles and snuggles here at Purrchance To Dream. We don't always get along with each other, but we all always have our own one-on-one quality time with NTM.
Thanks for being our friends and for blog-snuggling with us.

NTM, if we could we would fly to Florida and snuggle you too. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYa, you guys gotta snuggle extra with NTM...the Woman can kinda relate to how it feels, that relationship stuff that shoulda been but never was. That's the real suckitude.
ReplyDeleteGive him a head butt for me. I usually aim for the nose. People like that.
That's why I love our furbies...they never ask why or pass judgement.
ReplyDelete~~~Blessings~~~
My human felt the same way about her mother. She does not talk about that much because she does not need sympathy for a stranger's death. And now that is has been two and a half years, it is a moot point.
ReplyDeleteGive NTM some snuggles from us. It sounds like he's had a really rough time.

(((hugs)))
ReplyDeletebig hugs and love to y'all and NTM.
ReplyDeleteMom said to tell NTM that she completely understands. That's how it was for her when her father died. She had only seen him twice in 25 years (because he refused contact through no fault of mom). Mom said surprisingly her heart still ached ... and she grieved more than she thought she ever would (but she thinks for the same reasons as NTM).
ReplyDeleteSo we are sending huge (((((hugs))))) abd purrs and want NTM to know we do understand, more than he could ever know.
We are so sorry you lost your Gram and dad so close together NTM. We are sending our best purrs and whiskery kisses.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Yes, the grief is for what could have been, what you wished the relationship to be, not for the actual person. It's hard...Much the same when people divorce -- often one grieves for the death of the dream, the fantasy, not for the loss of the actual human. :-/
ReplyDeleteWe're sending NTM purrs and kitty kisses anyway.
NTM has been having a rough time of it lately. {{Huggiez}} to him...
ReplyDeleteOh my! That is a lot going on for NTM. Our purrs. We are glad he is in your fine paws for snuggles. Our human sends hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh, NTM, we's sending you our bestest purrs and love. You's had a lot to deal wif lately.
ReplyDeleteYou need to take some time for cuddles and snuggles and purrs.
Wishing we could be there wif you right now....
Love from KC, Missy Blue Eyes, Faith Boomerang, Sol, Smokey, Brutus Jr. & Mom ML.
We're sorry about NTM's grandmother and the dad who he wasn't close to. We understand the feeling about not being close to parents. Well, Maw understands the feeling. Maybe it's an Indiana thing since she's from there as well?
ReplyDeleteHugs to NTM. Give him lots of snuggles and cuddles.
