October 2nd is Live Strong Day: to remember those we know who have or have had cancer.
The Cat Blogosphere lost too many special souls this year to cancer, and NTM lost both of his maternal grandparents to cancer in the last decade.
Recently, NTM's best friend's husband was diagnosed with an agressive form of leukemia, which is a cancer of the bone marrow. All of us have been affected by these events, and sometimes it's not easy to be strong.
But that's what this day is about. To LIVE STRONG for those who have cancer, and to be strong and remember the best about those loved ones who we have lost.
A very sweet tribute. Our person's uncle had that type of leukemia. Unfortunately he had it when he was nearly 80, so there was little they could do for him (most treatments were too invasive at his age.)
