Trying To Drive Not The Mama Insane...

... okay, the road to my insanity is probably not a long one... but the furry gang here @ Purrchance To Dream is treading that path the past few days...

Callie being upstairs has Spooker upset and on a yak-fest. And Daphne & Chloe are not getting along with Callie at all. Last night after a few cat fights (my sweet Chloe must be taking lessons from Jazper, because she is relentless in her intimidation of Callie), I finally locked Callie in the bathroom, which clearly got her upset, and not only did she pee in the bathtub (yes there is a litter box in the bathroom...) but she also yakked up several piles of bright red bologna wrapper-ribbons. I had absent-mindedly left the trash out yesterday, and it was knocked over when I got home, but clearly had forgotten about the baloney-skins. Crap. At least they came up instead of becoming a costly trip to the vet...
And downstairs, Jazper just wants to be alone in his bachelor pad in the basement, unless it's dinner time, and if I try to keep him up in the store, he just whines and whines and whines until I relent and take him to the basement. And Little Isis, bouncing off the walls in only the way a kitten can, will NOT stay out of the Christmas Tree (yes, I still have clearance ornaments on it) and she apparently loves sparkly things as much as she loves things that make noise...
You know the stereotypical Crazy Cat Lady? Well, I never thought I'd become her... But now I KNOW why she's CRAZY...
ciao for now,
Not The Mama

  1. Oh what a shame. You are surrounded by fighting rivals. What a shame that Callie is such a bother. I hope someone gives her a forever home really soon. Poor Callie just needs to be loved. :)

  2. Oh my, you are living the exact same type of life that our Mommy is at the moment. She has two sick and puking/pooping dogs and two pirate cats who are NOT happy that the woofies are getting so much more attention. This is all on top of a migraine that will not stop. Yeah, she's about to go insane too. Perhaps you two can get padded cells next door to each other at the asylum so at least you will have someone else to talk to!

  3. I'm sorry... We are laughing at your account.

I wonder why Jazper doesn't want to come out of the basement lately? Maybe he is feeling like he doesn't want to socialize at all?

Oh poor Not The Mama! I also read some earlier posts and it's crystal clear that Callie needs a loving Forever home soon! She is not a bad cat, not at all! But she is just not accepted in the cat group you already have. We have had that same problem twice in the past, they went to another home which already had other cats and became a wonderful cat family together.

Callie is a beautiful, social, young and healthy girl cat. If you don't mind I copy an image of her for my blog and link it to you. You, your cats and also Callie need harmony and peace again!

  11. Oh poor kitties! Poor Not the Momma! I really wish I could take Callie. We have a stray cat outside that I have been sneaking food to and today I asked my husband if I could let him in. He said no. :( I've asked about Callie twice and he replies, " Which one of these three do you want to get rid of to keep her?" Grrr...
I hope things settle down and you find Callie a home soon.
    Hugs and Purrs,

  14. Oh gosh, maybe Callie needs her own room! Wish we could take her but I don't think poor Speedy could keep another sisfur from haffing hissy fights.

Oh no - poor Not The Mama! Our Lady's insane too. She says she doesn't recommend it. Somebody's gotta give Callie a good home. Maybe Empress Bee's friend? Or maybe Lorianna wants to trade in her husband for Callie? Nah, she prolly likes him. Anyway, we're sending lotsa purrs your way!

  21. Poor Callie ...

On a different note ... Sparky Fuzzypants wants to know if Miss Spooker would like to be his Valentine again this year? He's showing off his fire chief helmet on ManCat Monday.

  23. I am so sorry to hear things are in such an uproar in your home. Hopefully Miss Callie will get a good home soon and everything will settle back down.

I hope Jazper is just feeling a bit antisocial and is not getting sick. And I am very glad that Miss Callie yakked up the red bologna things.
