Where's the OFF switch?

Sometimes I wish Pete had an OFF switch, you know?  He is incorrigible, unstoppable, and the feline equivalent of the Energizer Bunny.  In the middle of the night last night he discovered how FUN it was to race up and down my body while I tried to sleep, biting at various and sundry parts...
I wanted to flip him over on his back and find an OFF button on his belly, let me tell you!
Yes, I'm a little cranky today...
Ciao for now,

  1. He's the epitome of 'kitten' that's what. Yep, he knows how to be a kitten alright. I hope you get some sleep soon. He could be vanquished to other parts of the apartment if he doesn't behave. Have a great day Not The Mama. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

Haha! That used to happen to me too, till Cocoa turned all jealous and territorial. Now, if anycat comes near me when I sleep, he chases them away.

Well, Petey is just exercising his right to be a kitten, that's all! Don't worry, Uncle Mo, Petey will be a Mancat soon enough! =)

  6. You think that's bad. You want to have 20lbs of Eric thundering up and down your body in the middle of the night when he discovers Flynn has finished off all the food!

  7. Harley enjoys biting toes under the covers at about 2:00 am. I like hearing the screams from my Mommie.

  11. I have pictures of that and it's really making me smile!
We had a sweet little doxie and an orange male tabby cat. Rosie and Johnny would chase each other all over the house - the "chaser" changed at every corner. We used to call it "Zizzing." One night a friend of ours stopped over on his way home and needed to sleep over. He didn't get much sleep because of all the zizzin' going on. Up the couch, up the bookcase, down the curtain and up the piano; walk on the piano keys and make much icky noise; knock over flower pot and hiss.....and on and on.
    Don't you just love 'em?

  16. Mini has taken to sleeping half the night with Jasmine and then getting up and crying till I let her in bed with me. I don't mind so much but Jasmine does.

I can remember before we got pets and I said, "no way are they sleeping with us"... Maxy goes outside at least twice per night when he's home. I guess he has lots of territory to remark after being away for so long.

An off switch would be a good thing. I hope you get lots of sleep tonight.

  18. This stage of kittenhood will pass quickly and Pete will learn that beds are meant for napping.

  21. Toeshee is the same way! He still gets tucked in the bathroom at night because he draws blood so much. I have nicknamed him Lestat. He jumps on Cody and sinks his teeth into his neck.
I'm glad Petey and Isis are getting along. Is he going to be her permanent brother? Six is a nice even number...
    Hugs,
