Daphne & The Fishtank

While Chloe prefers to stand on a stack of boxes near the fish tank and look at the shiny pretty swimmers, Daphne likes to jump right up on the tank top.

There is a bit of a salt rind near the hole in the top where the heater goes down, and this is the hole where Daphne sticks her paw. She then licks off the salt.

It may look like she's about to jump down, but actually, she is trying to sneak up on the big black molly from above. See the dried salty paw prints on the glass on the left?

This is her reaction to Lee saying, "No." That she shouldn't be up there. Poor kid. He's such a softie that he uses a soothing tone of "no" and it just makes her curious and stretches out her neck. If we ever had real kids -- you know, the human kind -- I would totally have to be the disciplinarian. Of course, I let my fur-kids get away with whatever they want.
Like jumping up on top of the aquarium.

  1. Hee! I let my furkids get away with everything too. They're just too cute to yell at them.

The little paw prints are hilarious. She's very resourceful, that Daphne.

One of our cats used to enjoy sitting on the fish tank. The Woman hated it because he was a big cat and she was always worried he'd manage to tip the tank over! You have a much nicer stand though.

mmmm! your water filled box has yummies in it. we just have mean giant turtles. our Lady has the same problem with "no". Midnight is the only one who ever does anything wrong, and the Lady picks her up and cuddles her and says "no, no sweet kitty".
    Grr

  9. Daphne does look like our Annie!! And Annie likes to stick her paw in bath water and lick it. Not quite the same, but close.

Dorf gets yelled at all the time here, but it doesn't do any good, so I don't know why we continue. He's the problem child.
