Isis in the Wash Basin

post signature

The photo of Isis sticking her tongue out yesterday seems to be a hit, especially in the Flickr groups, so I'm posting another one of her little pinky tongue sticking out. You can just imagine she's making the raspberry sound with her tongue, can't you?

Of course, yesterday soon after I posted about not being able to find Isis, she appeared "out of thin air" - looking at me like "I knew where I was the whole time."

It's a quiet Sunday afternoon for The Purries today. Isis is curled up next to Pete on the dining table for a siesta, and Daphne is stretched out across the coffee table. Chloe and Spooker are sleeping in the sun coming in through the office window, and Jack and Bella are in the bedroom.

I am procrastinating starting a term paper, and iDaddy is researching Mac apps. A nice quiet family day.

Hope you have a lovely day, too.

Isis Portrait

Here's another picture from the impromptu photo session I had with Isis on the dining table earlier in the week.

Of course, as I post this, I haven't seen her this morning. She didn't come out for morning treats time, and the only reason I'm not panicking is that I saw her right before bed last night so I know she's in the house somewhere.

Unless she's teleported over to your place today. Check your cabinets and closets for a pair of glowing amber eyes, that's how I usually spot her.

Have a great weekend from me and the rest of The Purries (the ones who are now having their mid-morning post-Temptations naps).

Notice how last week, NTM didn't miss a day posting Chloe pics. And yet this week is MY week, and he goes and skips a day. There WILL be repurrrcussions.

little isis

Last week, we had a week's worth of Chloe pictures, and Isis got pretty jealous over all the attention her calico sister was getting. So, let's start off a week of Little Isis pictures with one of the first ever taken of this unique House Panther, from September 2007.

We're finishing up a week of Chloe pictures, posted for her new boyfriend Beau, with a lovely close-up of our calico girl. I just love the fur and whisker details in this image, and it captures some of her goofy in-your-faceness that she sometimes has. Thanks for sharing this week of Chloeness with us!NTM

The other day, I talked about Daphne and Chloe's birthday coming up (in March) and totally forgot that mine was this week. I'm so blessed to have The Purries in my life, and their iDaddy (Eyad), too.

And the friendship and support of my online friends, both from the Cat Blogosphere and from Facebook, means so much to me, too! Thanks to all of you for being a special part of my life!

Cheers!

kick it, chloe

It's amazing to me, as I look at the pictures of Chloe as a kitten this week, that soon Daphne and Chloe will be celebrating their fifth birthday. I was there the day they were born, and visited frequently during their first eight weeks at my friend Kathleen's house when they were with their siblings. I spent their first night at their new home in the guest room with them, so they weren't alone -- it took Spooker a while to acclimate to the fact that there were intruders in the house (she's never forgiven me for that!). I've loved every day I've got to spend with them, but you can't deny the joy of kitten pics! I have one more to share tomorrow, then we'll end a week of Chloe pictures (for her new boyfriend, Beau) with another contemporary pic.Hope you're having a great week,NTM post signature

Continuing a week of Chloe pictures for Beau, here is one of my favorites of Chloe from when she was a kitten.

Happy Hump Day, y'all.

Last night, Chloe had a Valentine's Day date with Beau. She came home and got into bed with me to snuggle in the wee hours of the morning, and was purring purring purring.

I think it might be love.

Hope you had a special Valentine's Day.

baby daphne

I was going to post a picture of Daphne as an adult today, but have been thinking about kittens ever since I saw a pen of 5 baby House Panthers at PetSmart last week. Watch out - NTM has Kitten On The Brain!

So, today I bring you another kitten Daphne pic for today's Picture Of The Day.

Enjoy!

It's hard to believe that Daphne and Chloe will be five years old this March! Here's my Daffer girl taking a rest from playing as a baby. She's purring and curled up next to me on the sofa right now, so I think she approves of today's Photo Of The Day choice.

Hey!

As promised yesterday, here is the most popular photo of baby Pete. This was taken back in August, 2008, when I rescued him from the alley. Poor little guy really was stinky those first few days, and he sure had a set of lungs on him - but that was what saved him. I was taking trash out to the Dumpster in the alley, and heard him crying (he was trapped in a tool shed). His meowing saved his life (the people that put him in the tool shed -- without food or water!!! had called Animal Control to come pick him up, but it was the weekend, and they wouldn't get to him until a weekday!!! in August - with no food or water!!!). So, this picture always reminds me not only of how darn cute he was as a kitten but also how his meowing saved him and brought us together.

He's now the happy (non-stinky) alpha male of the Purries, who is currently cuddling with Little Isis on the carpeted cat tree. Ironically, Isis also came from that same Michigan alley - a year earlier - and now they are cuddling Florida kitties. Just don't tell anyone that Isis likes to cuddle with Pete, it will totally ruin her badass aloof reputation.

Meow for now,

NTM and The Purries

Peter Peter in Florida

Yesterday, we saw a picture of Pete after he'd settled in and was playing in our Michigan home. Today is a picture how he looks now, settled in to our home in Florida.

Stay tuned for tomorrow, for a repeat the most famous Pete pic of all!

Meow for now,
