Introducing Stinky Pete

I went for a walk this afternoon.  Didn't even make it past the alley behind the store...
Then I heard a desperate loud mewing.
This little dude was locked in a tool shed, waiting for Animal Control to come pick him up tomorrow.  The people are some of my regular customers, so they were happy to have me spring him from his tool shed prison and uncertain fate with Animal Control - they found him in the alley last night.
But this is NOT what I sought from my walk today... just wanted some fresh air, sunshine, and to snap a picture or two...
Instead, meet Number Six. There was Inkie, then Ubee, and then Callie, Little Isis, and Percy.
Now tiny Stinky Pete.
He was SO filthy and smelly.  After both ends were cleaned up with a warm wash rag, he's still dusty and dirty but also very HUNGRY.  Just skin and bones under that tuxie fluff.
Based on Percy's age (approx 4 months), and the size Daphne & Chloe were when I adopted them, I'm guessing this feller is about 7 to 8 weeks old.
So, I guess this was why Percy had to move on to a Forever Home before I was ready to say good-bye:

P.S. We had a *lot* of trouble tryin' to leave a comment cause only a little part of the page would come up and we could just see the "Ju" of the jump to comment link, too! We had to restart the browser just to get to the "Ju", too. Maybe we needs to stop using Firefox? Anyways, we wanted to let you know, in case anyone else is havin' a problem.

Thanks to you, another little one has been rescued! That is great news! As a formerly homeless cat myself, I can tell you it's no fun being out there, hungry and dirty. But thanks to you, Sweet Pete is going to have a chance at life as a well-loved, properly-spoiled cat.

  22. Oh My.

I'll have to show this to Jasmine. I overheard her telling Andy all about you. Not that Andy doesn't know who you are but he does get my "blogging people" confused with each other sometimes.

She said that you are the blogger that rescues homeless kittens and finds them homes.

    He's a cutie.
