Sorry I haven't kept up with updates on Bella and Jack like I should. My business life has been an emotional roller-coaster lately, and it's taken a toll on my blogging.
Anyway ~ Jack and Bella are still with me. The person who wanted to adopt Jack basically said they don't take their cats to the vet, would not agree to keep him inside, nor would say they would get him neutered when he was of age. So I told her, "no deal."
And the person who had said they were going to adopt Bella - well, they simply never showed up.
So, I'm going to try to find a home for them, where they can be together.
In other news - first of all, I need to apologize to Petey. With everything going on, his Gotcha Day kind of came and went, with no fanfare. I will have to make it up to him with a Pete Party soon!
AND - recently, I received an unexpected gift in the mail. It was the most luxurious, soft and wonderful blankie for the Purries in the mail! From Peggy of Peggy's Place!
It was a total surprise and SO wonderful! It is fluffy black and white, to match Pete's furs! Pete loves it! And so do I!
You can see from the picture below that Bella loves it, too!
THANK YOU, Peggy!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear about that. I am new to reading your site - you have pretty cats : ).
ReplyDeleteIt makes me wonder sometimes why people don't take their cats to the vets like they should. Why bother having cats in the first place if you don't take care of them!
Regards,
John
Ah Mo, we are sorry the new homes didn't work out. We are certain the perfect person is coming soon (and hopefully it won't be the Woman meeting you when she goes back to the Midwest for a conference!).
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you in this tough time for your business. As an acupuncturist, going out of business is more like just pulling down the shingle and referring patients out to someone else. There is little overhead, little fanfare. In some ways that makes it easier (at least to avoid dealing with going out of business).
We're sorry to hear that the new homes didn't work out, but better they stay where they are safe until the right people come along.
ReplyDeleteWe sad that Not the Momma is having a big attack of bad things right now.
Sending purrs for better days,
Charlemagne and Tamar
::blink:: what in the world was that person thinking? Why do people want fur people in their lives if they don't want to take care of them?
ReplyDeleteOh! Not neutering and letting outside? Recipe for disaster. Glad they're still safe with you and waiting for the perfect home together.
ReplyDeleteWe are thankful that you have the good sense to not let them go to such bad homes....and for this Uncle Mo....we are sending you tons of purrs and gentle headbutts.
ReplyDeleteMeowm told us of your stuff goingon with your business and we are sorry to hear about that. We will be purring for a new opportunity to come your way very quickly!!
I'm so glad Jack and Bella have you to look out for them. Soft purrs and gentle headbonks to you during this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteIt's good you've kept Jack and Bella. *Shudder* to think what their lives would be like with those people.
ReplyDeleteWe wish so much for you to be able to get thru with this business mess and on to something better.
Take care of yourself. Be around those who care and know we do and are thinking about you.
And we're glad the blankie was a hit with the kitties. Hug Pete for me.
I'm so sorry to hear that things are a little tough. Thanks for keeping such good care of Bella and Jack. I hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are smart to keep Jack from someone who will just let him wander and get no health checkups. Maybe it will be better if you can keep them together.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, Petey Party!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Forever homes should have guarantees of safety and security. And now maybe you'll be able to find them a together forever home.
ReplyDeleteOur momma and us is so happy that you didn't let the little babies go somewhere awful that wouldn't take good care of them. That was a mean PURRson who wouldn't take them to see the vet.
ReplyDeleteBella and Jack are so cute!
ReplyDeleteoh they are so cuuuuute. squee! i hope they find together forevers soon. or maybe stay with you!! : )

Awww, now that photo was worth the wait!!
ReplyDeleteJack and Bella are so lucky to have you looking out for them and to care enough to not let them go live a life with people who won't provide basic care. The perfect home is out there...and we are kind of secretly hoping that Chey's mom is totally charmed by them and they come to live in the NW!!!! Woudn't that be grand?
ReplyDeleteGood for you, keeping Jack and Bella together. And not letting Jack go to live with those baddies.
ReplyDeleteAnd aren't Peggie's Hairy Blankies the very best?
It's a bummer to hear that Jack and Bella's homes didn't work out -- but so good that you stood up for what was best for Jack!
ReplyDeleteThis just means they're meant to go together. I hope they can!
Happy late Gotcha Day, Petey!
Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThe babies are so beautiful

I hope that all the problems will be solved in a way-a positive one
I wish you all the best

Wow, that wannabe Jack adopter sure shouldn't have a cat! She should buy a plastic plant for the outside doorstep...
ReplyDeleteI agree, some people should stick with plastic and leave the real thing for others.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened with Bella and Jack? Are they still with you?
