Check-up for Pete

Pete went in for a check-up today, and while I thought he was 100% better, he registered as having a 104ยบF temperature at the vet's office.
So, since everything else seemed fine, Dr. Jackie allowed me to take him home, but I have to monitor his temperature now and report in.
We had to go buy a digital pet thermometer.
Keep Peter in your thoughts today, and hope his temperature falls back into the normal zone - if it remains elevated, Dr. Jackie wants to re-admit him for fluids, even though the diagnosis is still FUO (Fever of Unknown Origin). I'm hoping the stress of the carrier, car-ride, dogs in the waiting room, etc, caused his temp to spike and that a few hours resting at home will show more normal results.

  17. We are continuing to purr for sweet Pete to have normal temp. He is having a time of it.

Did they do an ultrasound of the abdominal area to check for any enlargement or other sign of a problem? There are some things that don't show very much in blood work.

    Hugs and purrs,
    Laura and Taffy
