Thank you all for the comments and condolences this past week, for Chloe's passing. Chloe wouldn't want me to be sad, she was always the one who knew when I was sick or not feeling well or unhappy - she'd come and lie next to me and purr, and help me with whatever was making me feel bad. She and I had an empathic connection, and she was there for me so many times over the years, I could not count the times she made me feel better. I will always remember her so fondly for that, and I will miss that terribly. I still can't believe she's not waiting in the sink for me every morning, when I get out of the shower.
But she was always trying to make me feel better, and now I have to try to feel better for her. She did not suffer in the end, she went peacefully, with me there telling her I love her, and that her iDaddy loves her, and that her sister Daphne will always love her. What more can any of us ask, but to go peacefully and to be loved.
Thank you all for reaching out to me, and to Eyad, and to let us know that you, too could empathize with our loss, and let us know that we are loved, too.
We will always miss our sweet grumpy, stubborn Chloe.
May she rest in peace.
Chloe was a beauty! There are some kitties who have an extra special sense that helps them connect with your every mood. Tamir was like that. If I had a hurt arm...he would lay on it and purr. If I needed emotional comfort, he would come sit by my side and purr. It sounds like Chloe was very much like that.

Beautiful. Our angel cat Graphite, was like that, and Moosey wears the empathic mantel here. It's clear how special and loved Chloe was. Surely she will live always and forever in your hearts. Hugs and purrs to you all.

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm so sorry about Chloe. I can understand your frustrations and pains in your heart with this world and why we should have hope because I used to feel the same way.
