waking up to the past few days.
Daphne has appointed herself my personal alarm clock.
Without my glasses on in the morning, this is what the fuzzball looks like to me as she peers into my face, waiting impatiently for my eyes to focus.
She stands up on her hind legs, front paws on my chest or chin, and lets rip a series of "merr-ow, merrr-ee". She knows she's cute, which is endearing, but I am so not a morning person.
She usually stays with me long enough to render me fully awake, get in a good chin scratch, then goes bounding off to sit by the food bowl.
Even though I try very hard not to let that bowl get empty (Spooker gets upset if the bowl is empty: she must have starved to death in a previous life, so it's easier on everyone if the bowl remains kibbly) -- so almost always in the morning, the bowl of kibble is at least half full. Daphne doesn't care -- she wants me to top it off for her.
She loves to eat, this girl.
Hope everyone had a safe & Happy Halloween. Welcome to November!

That's right, my darling. Eat! I like my woman soft and cushy. ;)
ReplyDeleteMomma says sometimes I do that too.

I do the same thing for my human... She's so tired she barely wakes up and mutters something that sounds like "Mmmphh, goway.."
ReplyDeleteBut I don't usually give up so easily. :)

Yup, that is what we are for. Being an alarm clock. Plus you guys are getting up later this week than last. Weird.
