Who He Said It To...

In yesterday's post, I listed thirteen things I said to the Purries this week.  Here's who I said these things to:

1, 3, and13: Are you drooling, or are you foaming at the mouth? This was to Little Isis - yesterday, she and Pete were wrassling, and she had foamy spittle in her mouth.  A few minutes later, she had a big strand of drool from her mouth to her ear.  I watched her closely for a couple hours, but she was fine.  Mystery drool.
2.  Why do you want to go to the basement?  There's some perfectly good sunshine in the window by the snowmen.   Yep, this was to The Jaz Man.  He can be pretty insistent sometimes about going down to The Jaz Cave.
 4.  Be patient, stinky goodness is coming!  Jazper can be quite pushy when his Purrfectly Fish is being prepared.
5.  Oh no!  You maimed an angel!  In spite of some people assuming this was aimed at Little Isis, it was actually Jaz who knocked over the Gift Of The Magi angel, breaking off her hand.  Bessie will attempt an angel-arm re-attachment later today.
6.  What's wrong with your ear?  This was also to Jaz.  He was sitting, staring at me, with one ear cocked.  I massaged it and wiped it out with a Q-tip and he seemed fine.
7.  Are you protecting the dirty clothes, or do you just want a ride down to the laundry room?  Okay, since I pictured her in the laundry basket in the previous post, this one was easy to guess that it was Chloe.
8.  Your neck boo-boos seem all cleared up, now let me see your butt...  The allergy shot seems to have worked.  All the scabs on Little Isis's neck and chin have cleared up, and fur is growing back on her tummy and butt.  There's just one spot on her rear leg that is bald, that she keeps chewing.  But at least the endless itching has stopped.  Thanks to everyone who asked about her!
9.  Ow, you are making Biscuits Of Pain!  Ouch!  You need those claws trimmed!  Jaz hates having his claws trimmed, and we try to trim one nail per day.  He also likes to be held, and to knead on me.  Sometimes the two aren't a good mix.
10.  Yes, she's the self-proclaimed Official Greeter here...  This was to a customer in the store, about Little Isis.  She loves running up to people and greeting them in the store.  She can wrap them around her little pencil tail with those big owl eyes and that plaintive little mew.  Yesterday afternoon, she actually had a lady in her 60's on her hands and knees in the store, trying to get a jingle ball out from under a book case!
11.  That is one massive booger, young man.  Pete is like a little bloodhound, running around with his nose to the ground, sniffing everything.  He gets a lot of gunk in his nostrils that way and our evening routine is me cleaning out his nose.  The things we do for love...
12. It's okay, she's locked up, you can come out now.  This was to Daphne and Spooker, about Little Demon Isis.  Unfortunately, the little monster is still attacking Spooker and it freaks Daffers out.  So, Isis and Pete still go into Time Out every night.

Hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into our lives,
Not The Mama

  1. Glad to see you can remember who you said all that, too! I can barely remember what I tell Amanda and there's only one of her! Of course, she can't seem to remember what I tell her either as she still has clothes all over the loveseat and the dishes aren't done!

  4. That was interesting! I am so glad to learn that Isis' allergies are clearing up.

Too funny that Jazper gets a single nail trimmed each day. I used to not mind having my clawrs trimmed, but now I have been growling and squirming. It seems I am a little crabbier now that Harley is here.

  10. Most of the time Mom is very sad that we are front de-clawed, until she reads about what happens when peoples try to do clippy-clawrs. We totally knew the booger nose was Petey!
