Introducing Isis

Last night, Bessie and I rescued a little stray in the alley behind The Wren's Nest.
She is all-black, with the orangest eyes we've ever seen in a cat. A true Halloween kitty.
Bessie instantly bonded with the affectionate little girl, and I think Inkie is going to have a sister.
She didn't want to sit still long enough for a photo session, so this is the best I could do this morning. When she's not doing figure 8's between your ankles, she's scratching and biting at fleas.
Right now Isis, as Bessie immediately started calling her, is down in the store's basement.
Yes, the poor thing is ate-up with fleas --- I mean, I've never seen fleas this bad on an animal, and we need to get that taken care of ASAP. But despite her infestation, she is so sweet and affectionate, with a BIG purr. And aside from the fleas, she seems VERY healthy -- a bit underweight, but Bessie and I will fix that right up!
Bessie's on her way now, with some flea stuff, but I think she may need to go to the V-E-T for a dip, they're that bad. We'll keep you up-dated on our latest little rescue furball, Isis.
