The newest item (just added!) to Not The Mama's online store, The Wren's Nest, is the Kitty Babble Ball™ by Pet Qwerks, Inc. This hard plastic pink toy randomly says six phrases and sounds -- pictured above -- whenever it is touched.
Frankly, Not The Mama thinks this is one of the most annoying little things ever, but Jazper LOVES his. He rabbit kicks his, then makes it shoot out across the store, chasing it.
The good part about this toy for beans is that it can easily be picked up and put into a safe (non-moving) place for some "time out".
The hard, ridged pink plastic is quite durable, and its button cell batteries can be replaced when worn out (they do last a long time!).
